Seeing as this is my first blog post, well, ever, I've decided to keep it simple and talk about what I know. In my opinion, I know music pretty well. I know it because I like it and I submerged myself in it for the same reason. In High School I ran our radio station, WWPT Wrecker Radio. Having my own show and listening to everyone else on the team's shows really opened my eyes to a variety of music. I can rightfully say that I love music of every kind, I'm not one to say that I don't like a certain genre, nor will you ever catch me saying, "well I love all kinds of music, except country," etc, etc. If it's playing, I'll listen to it, no matter what. Right now, however, I'm really into folk music. I think it's because my dad's a huge fan, and I'm missing home, so I've been listening to a lot of Fleetwood Mac and The Tallest Man on Earth and Alexi Murdoch... not exactly my dad's first pick, but he's got open ears when it comes to music, too.
One good thing about music is that it takes you anywhere you want to be, and right now I want to be laying on the couch listening to Fleetwood Mac on the record player with my Dad.
